Lacy J. Dalton

Lacy J. Dalton is an American country music singer and song writer known for her distinctive, gritty, and powerful vocals. She rose to prominence in the 1980s with several hit songs, and she has since been inducted into the North American Country Music Association International Hall of Fame. Her music career began in the late 1960s, leading to national recognition after signing with Columbia Records in 1979. Hits in the 1980s included "Crazy Blue Eyes" and "16th Avenue”. She has worked with artists like Willie Nelson, and continues to perform as an independent artist. As an advocate for wild horses and burros, Dalton co-founded the Let 'em Run Foundation in 1999 for their rescue and rehoming. She was inducted into the Mustang Heritage Hall of Fame in 2024.
